Interview with DOA

  1. What got you into wrestling?

I can always remember watching wrestling right from when I was a youngster, Ive always enjoy the pure spectacle and athleticism of it, but the older I got the more I seemed to enjoy it and want to get involved in the sport.

  1. Who was your favourite wrestler/wrestlers growing up?

There's quite a few, when I was growing up wrestlers seemed to be of a higher quality in the WWF then there are now. I'm going to go with Ric flair, the British Bulldog, Sting and Rick Rude. As I have got older ive been introduced to the older British stuff, and it blew my socks off so im going to add to that mix 'Exotic' Adrian Street (this guys a legend) and of course Kendo Nagasaki!

  1. How long have you been wrestling?

Ive been in wrestling for about 2 years know, I made me debut against Bull Harley on my 19th birthday, the man who I would later go on to beat for the most important belt in british wrestling today, the ACW heavy weight championship.

  1. Who trained you and where?

I was trained by Samson, along with Bull in the 3ccw training centre in Dunstable! The fore-runner to the wrestling academy in Bletchley leisure centre, Milton Keynes.

  1. What promotions have you worked for?

ACW, BHW, UWL, TBW, RPW, SBW.

  1. What venue/place has been your favourite to wrestle in?

Im gonna have to say wrestling in the drill hall in Luton in front of 250 people all chanting my name, D.O.A, and also I was on the front cover of the Luton news which was a huge plus.

  1. Who is your biggest influence in the business so far?

Im gonna have to go with Samson on this one, he's helped me a lot with wrestling training and with weight training as well, and as he likes to say before I started training with him I couldn't even walk straight  and weighed 11 stone, and now im an Adonis.

  1. Who do you travel with?

As I don't drive, i normally travel, packed in car with 5 other wrestlers as Samson drives, laughing and singing queen songs all the way.

  1. What is your favourite match to date?

Im going to have to say when I tagged up with blondie barret to take on Johnny kidd and Ace Anderson for RPW, one of the reasons I really liked this match is that blondie barret used to be one of my favourite wrestlers (kendo Nagasaki) tag team partner.

  1. Who is your favourite opponent?

Bull Harely, mainly because of the amount of punishment he can absorb.

  1. What's your finisher and Why?

My 2 finishers are running power slam, which was British bulldogs finisher, which is why I use it. I also use emerald fusion because basically you just pick someone up and drop them on their head.

  1. What is your favourite promotion in the UK?

ACW, no contest.

  1. What is your entrance theme and why?

Ive started using Slither by the super group velvet revolver; mainly because I think there front man is spot on and for slash of guns and roses fame on the guitar, blasting out the solos.

  1. Have you won any titles so far & what did it feel like to win?

I'm currently ACW Heavyweight champion and tag team champion, it felt great winning these titles and having them put around my waist, it goes to show that hard work pays off.

  1. Are there any matches/people you?d like to wrestle in the future?

That's a hard one, id love to have a cage match in the future, or even better in some sort of war games scenario. I guess would love to wrestle one of my idols in the future.

  1. What are your plans for the future?

To mainly raise the profile of ACW. At the start of next year I plan to go over to America and start the D.O.A world tour but also to keep on going and wrestling for more promotions, entertaining more fans and showing more people what a real man can do in the ring.
