ACW 'Over The Top 2007'

Saturday 24th February 2007
Hitchin Town Hall
Brand Street
Hitchin
Hertfordshire

An exciting night of wrestling action along with great live music. ACWrestling once again packed out Hitchin Town Hall with 6 great matches.

Women's action was first up as 'Blonde Bombshell' Jade travelled all the way from Essex to take on 'Love Goddess' Mia. These two grapplers are no strangers as they have faced each other many times around the UK. Back and forth action saw Mia pick up an impressive victory.

Next up was a grudge match featuring Samson against the young rookie Kev Kurtis. Kurtis had almost cost Samson the Heavyweight Championship back in December, something that Samson hadn't forgotten, and was determined to teach the young Kurtis a valuable lesson. Fast paced match saw Kurtis almost pull off a massive upset due to Samsons over-confidence. Samson soon got back on track with a massive superplex and a tombstone piledriver to finish him off.

The first title match of the evening saw reigning champions 'The Players Club' V's Bull Harley & Sam Steel. Rich N'Famous without partner Kruiz, with whom he held the titles with for the last 8 months. He announced that he had brought in Kyle Kraze to defend the titles in Kruiz's place. This had effect on Bull & Sam who then proceeded to do exactly what they said they were going to do - win the belts. Hard hitting action and a crucial mistake by bodyguard Brian Braddock cost 'The Players Club' the titles.

The Light Heavyweight Championship match was next and saw a new challenger enter the mix as Vyper successfully defended the title against Blue Lightning. High flying, fast paced action in this match saw the more experienced Vyper pick up another victory.

ACW Heavyweight Championship was next as Brendon O'Shea defended the title against local boy Brian Braddock. Great technical match up with some big explosive moves which could have seen either man take the victory, until Rich N'Famous ran down and returned Braddocks favour and cost him the match. O'Shea's first defence was tainted and will be under pressure to keep the title. And has this night finally seen the end of 'The Players Club'?

Last match of the evening was the Royal Rumble. It was like a who's who of ACW as the very best competed for a title shot on 31st March against retaining champion - Brendon O'Shea. The match started with Kev Kurtis and Tank, and would see wrestlers enter the ring every 2 minutes. Chaotic action with bodies literally everywhere, saw DOA pick up the victory.

DOA will now challenge Brendon O'Shea for the Heavyweight Championship on Saturday 31st March.
