The night of the underdog

Main Event

ACW Heavyweight Championship

Brendon O'Shea defeated DOA

DOA won the Over The Top royal rumble last month in Hitchin to gain this title shot, 16 months after originally losing the title. What began as a strictly technical wrestling match soon broke down into an all-out battle for the title. DOA's attempt to use the exposed turnbuckle backfired as O'Shea utilized it against him, the fight then spilt to the floor which saw both men desperately fighting to stay in the match. As they made their way back into the ring both men pulled out the big moves, including a vicious piledriver by DOA and a powerful top rope powerslam by O'Shea. In the end O'Shea locked on his patented Irish Cloverleaf, forcing DOA to pass out from the excruciating finishing hold, retaining his title.

ACW Tag-Team Championship

Bulls Of Steel defeated Live or Die Trying (LDT)

Both teams took it too each other in their first encounter anywhere in the country. LDT isolated Sam Steel early on, not allowing him to tag in the monstrous Bull Harley. Eventually Sam fought back and tagged Bull who cleaned house. LDT fled the ring with Bulls Of Steel in hot pursuit, this led to a double count out, leaving both teams and the fans disappointed. Dan Evans from LDT got on the microphone and demanded the match be restarted, this time with no count-out and no disqualification, Bulls of Steel were more than happy to accept, as the match restarted, with weapons aplenty, and fighting all over the hall which had the crowd on their feet. The match took a dangerous turn as Dragon Aisu and Sam Steel brawled all the way up to the balcony and attempted to throw each other off, proving the lengths these men will go to for the championship. The end came when Bull destroyed Dan Evans with not one, but TWO top rope splashes through a table, giving Bulls Of Steel their first successful title defense.

ACW Light Heavyweight Championship

Ladder Match

Vyper defeated Wheeler

Wheeler brought everything he had to this fight, as he wanted to claim the ACW light Heavyweight Championship as well as his current EAW Light Heavyweight Championship. Vyper, always calm and collected, didn't let much faze him early on in this brutal encounter. A fast-paced and violent match ensued, with both men landing numerous times on the ladder and several big falls and high risk moves, including an insane double foot stomp by Wheeler off the top of the ladder. The match concluded with Vyper picking up a hard fought but tainted victory after the involvement of his manager.

Kyle Kraze's Krazy Challenge

Kyle Kraze had issued the challenge to the local talent in the upcoming weeks to the event. Brave local lad 'Living Proof' stepped up to the challenge. Kyle came out and belittled the local crowd to the point where they almost got in the ring with him, then Living Proof came out and took the fight to the cocky northerner. It wasn't long before Kraze had the upper hand and looked to have the match won, when Proof pulled off the upset of 2007, to the delight of the crowd.

Tank defeated Steve 'Ace' Andrews

A meeting between two young ACW wrestlers who have both been struggling to pick up victories as of late. Despite a valiant effort from Andrews the size and experience advantage was too much for him to overcome, leading to Tank picking up the decisive victory.

'The Dirty White Boys' defeated Samson & Lewis

The most heated rivalry in ACW came to a head, when The Dirty White Boys finally picked up their first victory. It was a moment to remember as Kev Kurtis finally gets one over on Samson. Back and forth action saw The DWB getting over powered, but their speed, as well as miscommunication between Samson and Lewis led to them scoring the upset victory. As the match came to a close, Samson hit a triple powerbomb on Kurtis, before he could go for the pin Blue lightning came out of nowhere to hit a sunset flip to pin Samson for the 3 count.

Martin Kirby defeated Brian Braddock

These two rookies went toe to toe in their 2nd meeting in an ACW ring. Braddock picked up the win back in October, Now Kirby had everything to prove as he took the fight to Braddock using his speed and agility. Braddock hit some powerful suplexes to try and slow Kirby down, but nothing could stop Kirby as he picked up a big win. Both grapplers have one victory each. Hopefully they will have one more match to determine the better man.
