The Wrestling Academy
The wrestling academy has been training wrestlers since October 2003. We started it up to train wrestlers to wrestle on the UK Circuit. Since our initial set up of blue mats in a very hot hall we have moved into our training facility in Milton Keynes. Our facility has 2 rooms; one room is fully matted with mirrors and is used for warming up, grappling, submission holds and chain work. The 2nd larger room holds our brand new 16 foot pro wrestling ring, 4 punch bags, crash mats, more matted areas, and a TV/Video/DVD area. We also hold a library of footage from different events around the world to learn from. We have excellent parking at the front of the building and large shower and changing areas. We run two sessions per week as follows;
Tuesdays 7pm till 9pm - trainers Samson & Bull Harley
Saturdays 11am till 1pm - trainers Samson & Bull Harley
We keep the sessions to a maximum of 20; this keeps the activity level high without having to wait to move on. All sessions are priced at only 6 pounds per 2-hour session. We offer insurance for �15 per year. This will cover most injuries and also looks very good when appearing on an event. With the trainees improving to a high level we then developed the TWA events. These were brought in to train the wrestlers on how to use and work off the crowd. These events are completely free and are the perfect stepping stone to a Pro Event. The TWA shows are run every 2 months and the trainer's book trainees on, when they have achieved a certain standard.
The ideal clothing to wear is loose fitting tracksuit bottoms or shorts, loose t-shirts or vest and nice fitting trainers. If you like training and want to carry on I would recommend knee and elbow pads, and some amateur style boots with ankle support.
